The evolving landscape of implant dentistry demands a structured, evidence-based approach to training and mentorship to ensure clinicians develop the skills and confidence required for predictable patient outcomes. This lecture, presented by Sami Stagnell, will explore the critical role of mentorship in implant education, addressing the challenges faced by new and experienced clinicians alike.
Drawing on insights from training models and mentorship standards, this talk will highlight best practices in mentoring and structured implant training. We will examine global variations in implant education, discuss the impact of mentorship on clinical competence, and explore different approaches.
By reviewing real-world case studies, the evidence-base, and established frameworks, attendees will gain a comprehensive understanding of how mentorship enhances learning, improves patient care, and fosters professional growth.
