"It's a global village we are living in"

The Osteology Foundation proudly welcomes two new Board Members: Tali Chackartchi from Israel and Giuseppe Romito from Brazil. Following their first official meeting, both reflected on the experience and what it means to be part of a truly global community.

First impressions?
For Tali, joining the Board is “an honour - to help shape the future of our field alongside such a distinguished group.” Giuseppe describes the experience as both “exciting and humbling,” adding that “we’re now sitting with the thought leaders who inspire our profession.”

Inside the committees
As a member of the Communication Committee, Tali was struck by the creative energy behind the scenes. “So much thought goes into how we share knowledge - it’s incredibly inspiring.”
Giuseppe, who joined the Education Committee, noted the strategic depth involved: “From major symposia to national programmes, it takes careful planning to bring top-tier science to the public. It’s a real engine behind the scenes.”

A global connection
Both Board Members agree: the Foundation’s international reach is one of its greatest strengths. “At the end of the day, it’s a global village we’re living in, and this Foundation reflects that beautifully,” says Tali. Giuseppe echoes this sentiment: “We bring diverse perspectives and shared values. That’s what makes this team so dynamic.”

In short?
Fresh energy, global minds, and a shared commitment to progress.
