Dr. David T. Wu, DMD, DMSc, Dipl ABP, FRCDC is the Interim Director of Advanced Graduate Program in Periodontology, and Instructor in the Department of Oral Medicine, Infection, and Immunity at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Wu is dedicated to developing new biomaterials, drug delivery systems, and medical devices to address unmet clinical needs, passionate about inspiring the next generation of healthcare professionals through innovation in education, and committed to providing the highest quality patient care.
Dr. Wu's work focus on bridging the gap between benchtop research and chairside treatment by translating basic science discoveries into the clinical arena. As a translational-scientist, his research focuses on the development and validation of tissue engineering and drug delivery strategies to enhance periodontal regeneration and improve patient outcomes. As a Dual-Board Certified Periodontist in the USA and Canada, his clinical expertise is at intersection of periodontology and implant dentistry focused on periodontal and peri-implant reconstruction and regeneration. As an educator, Dr. Wu focuses on the integration of innovation in dental education, and inspires students discover their paths to a fulfilling career.
