Soft tissue deformities around implants: Pushing boundaries for solutions in complex anterior cases

 

The Osteology session on 29 November will offer presentations of three complex cases that started with a previous failure. The session will focus on debating options and management of therapeutic strategies with a group of experts. Backed up by scientific evidence, the results of the treatments will be presented by each speaker.

Educational Objectives

  • Understanding biological principles behind soft tissue grafting around dental implants and describe surgical techniques to preserve and restore peri-implant tissues in the aesthetic zone

  • Create awarness of the importance of the interproximal papilla for aesthetic outcomes, and how vertical interproximal manipulation techniques can achieve optimal aesthetic outcomes

  • Increase the understanding and knowledge on the significance of soft tissue managment for vertical bone augmentation procedures and which types of autogenous connective tissue grafts are suitable in various clinical situations to achieve predictable treatment outcomes
