Raymond Wong is a tenured Associate Professor and Director of the Discipline of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS), Faculty of Dentistry, NUS. He is also the Vice Dean of Graduate Studies. His clinical appointment is as Cluster Lead for OMFS, National University Health System and Senior Consultant, Division of OMFS, National University Centre for Oral Health. His external appointments are as President, International Conference of OMFS (ICOMS) Singapore 2025, Member of the Education Committee of the International Association of OMFS (IAOMS) as well as Councillor for Singapore of the IAOMS, Country representative for Singapore and Regional Affairs Officer for the Asia Pacific Board of the AO CMF (Association for the Study of Internal Fixation) as well as Executive Councilor at large of the Asian Association of OMFS. His area of research is diverse, ranging from basic to translational, clinical and educational, focused mainly on regenerative implants, osteogenesis, patient specific implants, resorbable magnesium osteosynthesis and sleep apnea. He has published in journals like the Journal of the Mechanical Behaviour of Biomedical Materials, Nature Scientific Reports, PLOS One and the International Journal of Oral Sciences to clinical journals like the International Journal of Dentistry, Journal of Dentistry and the International Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
