Vinicus Rosa is a tenured Associate Professor at the National University of Singapore, where he leads a renowned research program that bridges dental materials and nanomaterials sciences. His work has produced landmark contributions in dental pulp regeneration, including the fooundational work for the regeneration of pulp tissue in full-length root canals using dental pulp stem cells and innovations in bioactive endodontic cements enhanced by artificial intelligence for personalized treatment outcomes. His research on graphene applications has also yielded advancements in osteointegration, biofilm reduction, and the durability of titanium alloys.

Vinicius’s scientific excellence has received the 2005 Academy of Dental Materials (ADM) Student Award and the 2007 ADM Paffenbarger Award. Recently, he was awarded the 2021 IADR/DMG Stephen Bayne Mid-Career Award, recognizing his substantial contributions to dental materials science, and the 2021 IADR Distinguished Scientist Young Investigator Award, one of the highest honours presented by the IADR. Recognized as one of the World’s Top 2% Scientists since 2020, and was appointed a Fellow of the Academy of Dental Materials (FADM) in 2023. He has published over 100 papers in prominent journals, receiving more than 3000 citations.

Beyond research, Vinicius has held prominent leadership roles in global research organizations, including serving on the IADR Board of Directors (2021-2023), as President of the IADR Dental Materials Group (2023-2024), and as a member of the ADM Board (2024-2027). His editorial contributions include positions as Associate Editor for the Journal of Prosthodontics and Emergent Materials, as well as board memberships in journals such as the Journal of Dental Research, Dental Materials, JADA Foundational Science, and European Journal of Oral Sciences and others.
