The National Osteology Group Australasia is proud to announce its inaugural Case Competition. This prestigious initiative will showcase excellence in oral regeneration, the three best cases will be selected for live presentations at the Australian Society of Periodontology’s Biannual Federal Conference, to be held in the beautiful city of Perth from 24-26 September 2026. The most outstanding case and presentation will be recognised with a prize. 

Launching Oral Health with Regeneration

Submission requirements:

• The submission must feature a periodontal or peri-implant hard and/or soft tissue regeneration case
• A minimum follow-up period of six (6) months is required
• All patient information must be fully de-identified, and written patient consent must be obtained
• Applicants must be available to present in person if selected

Submission Deadline is 1 August 2026

Submission will close at 11:55 PM AWST

Clinicians from both private practice and universities can participate. 

Submission Process:

• Join the National Osteology Group Australasia on the BOX (free login required)
• Go to the group. In the tab «Cases» you will find the case competition
• To submit a case, you need to upload it to the Case Box first 
• To join the competition, click on submit a case, and follow the instructions on the Case Competition page

Only cases uploaded to the Case Box and submitted as described above are eligible. 

The three selected finalists will be invited to present their cases at the Australian Society of Periodontology’s Biannual Federal Conference, to be held from 24-26 September 2026 in Perth. The finalist presentation session will take place on Friday 25 September 2026 at 11AM.

All finalists will receive a complimentary registration to the ASP Meeting, and the winning case will be awarded a prize of 2000 AUD. In addition, all finalists will be featured across the Osteology Foundation's social media channels and websites.

Further details will be shared with the finalists by the end of August 2026.

The cases will be evaluated by the National Osteology Group Australasia Leadership team. 

The following parameters will be evaluated: 

• Scientific rationale
• Completeness of documentation
• Photographic documentation
• Clinical difficulty 
• Novelty of case
• Surgical execution
• Clinical outcome
• Presentation quality 

Together with the NOG Australasia Leadership Team they will select the three finalists, as well as the overall winner in Perth.
