Tissue Engineering in Oral Regeneration

Sašo Ivanovski, Australia

Moderator: Jessica O'Neill, Australia

A variety of tissue engineering approaches have been proposed for orofacial tissue regeneration, involving a combination of different cell types, bio-scaffolds and biologically active molecules. This lecture will explore the concept of tissue engineering and how it has been applied to oral regeneration over the past four decades. It will also describe novel approaches that are being utilized to bring tissue engineering technologies to the clinical setting.

Learning objectives

After this lecture you will be able to:

  1. Discuss the various biofabrication techniques for tissue engineered constructs.
  2. Define the unique requirements for tissue engineering in oral regeneration.
  3. Recognize how tissue engineering can be utilized to improve clinical outcomes in oral regeneration

To collect 1.5 CE credits and certificate, the webinar must be attended via THE BOX.
