DIGITALLY ENHANCED BONE AUGMENTATION

Introduction

In conjunction with the Osteology National Symposium Florence 2025, a joint meeting between the Osteology Foundation and the Italian Society of Periodontology and Implantology (SIdP), young clinicians are invited to participate in the Osteology Young Video Award (OYVA).
Five young clinicians (born in 1980 or later) will have the opportunity to be selected by a scientific committee, composed of the leadership team of the National Osteology Group Italy (NOGI), to present their video, featuring a clinical case, during the OYVA Webinar, scheduled for 25 September 2025, at 13:00 CEST.
The winner will be chosen based on a combination of scores from the scientific committee and votes from the participants during the congress. The winner will be announced and awarded during the congress on Saturday, 25 October 2025.
The OYVA winner will receive a prize of €1,500 and complimentary participation in an Osteology Research Academy course in 2026.
Only videos focused on "Digitally Enhanced Bone Augmentation" will be accepted.

Evaluation

The scientific committee, composed of the NOGI leadership team, will evaluate the submitted videos and select the top five.
The authors of the chosen videos will have the opportunity to present their work and discuss the clinical case with the committee during the OYVA Webinar, which will take place on Thursday, 25 September 2025 at 13:00. At the end of the webinar, a ranking will be drawn up based on the committee's evaluation.
During the congress, participants will also have the chance to vote for their favourite video. The final score will be calculated by combining the result of the committee's vote (50% weight) with that of the congress participants' vote (50% weight).

Requirements and structure

The video must provide a summary of the clinical case and must adhere to the following criteria:

• Duration: maximum 5 minutes
• Size: maximum 200 GB
• Formats: MP4 or MOV

Videos that do not meet these criteria will not be evaluated.
All videos must focus on the topic of "Digitally Enhanced Bone Augmentation".
The videos must be submitted in a digital format, with good image quality, and must follow this structure:

• Title of the video, authors, and affiliation
• Objectives of the procedure
• Scientific background
• Case presentation with clinical images
• Step-by-step clinical procedure
• Post-surgical follow-up (7 to 10 days)
• Results with mandatory medium-term follow-up (6 months)
• Discussion and conclusion

Language

The videos must be presented in Italian.

Prize

The winner of the competition will receive a prize of €1,500 and the opportunity to attend an Osteology Research Academy course in 2026 free of charge.

Terms and conditions

By submitting a clinical video, participants:

• agree that the video will be published on the platform THE BOX in the NOGI's Video section.
