Learning objectives:



  • Identify the causes and clinical implications of alveolar bone defects in patients requiring implant-supported prosthetic rehabilitation.

  • Review conventional regenerative approaches for horizontal and vertical bone atrophy, including autologous bone grafts and space-maintaining devices, along with their limitations and complication risks.

  • Understand the biologic rationale and application protocol of a viscoelastic polynucleotide–hyaluronic acid gel used for bone regeneration in peri-implant reconstruction.

  • Evaluate preliminary clinical and histologic outcomes associated with this novel regenerative technology through case-based evidence.
