Course Objectives:



  • Understand the Peri-implant Defect Risk Assessment (PIDRA) to assess the potential level of difficulty, risk, and success of treatment. 

  • Review the essential 8-Keys Checklist and its application in achieving successful long-term treatment of peri-implant intrabony defects.

  • Share case reports demonstrating the use of the 8 Keys Checklist approach.

  • Learn the treatment steps of a surgical peri-implantitis therapy.

  • Learn the factors according to which surgical approaches should be selected.

  • Learn the role of the peri-implant soft tissue characteristics upon the surgical treatment outcomes
